Prepare a clear request

Northstar's communications and facilities teams coordinate lobby-screen content. Before using this guidance, the site owner must confirm the actual intake route, request owner, and any approval requirements; this example does not provide a working form, inbox, or contact.

Include enough context for the team to assess whether the message fits the location, is clear at a glance, and is ready to hand off to an authorized publisher.

Include these details

  1. 1

    Location or display

Name the lobby or display. If you do not know the display name, describe the location so the coordinating team can identify it.

  2. 2

    Audience and purpose

Say who should see the message and what they need to know or do.

  3. 3

    Key message and source

Provide concise draft copy and the source for factual details. Include the relevant approval context when the content requires it.

  4. 4

    Requested timing and review point

State when the message would be useful and when it should be checked or retired. The publisher confirms feasibility and manages any schedule in Digital Signage.

  5. 5

    Request contact

Provide a role or team contact for questions and revisions. Do not include confidential or personal information that does not belong on a public display.

What happens after you ask

The coordinating team reviews the request; authorized publishers handle the app work.

Review

The coordinating team checks the request

The communications or facilities owner checks location fit, audience, clarity, source, and any stated approval needs. They may ask for shorter copy or a better channel.

  • Clarify missing location or audience details.
  • Confirm whether the message is suitable for a shared screen.
  • Agree on a review point with the requester.
Handoff

An authorized publisher uses Digital Signage

After the content is ready and any required approvals are complete, an authorized publisher uses Digital Signage to publish it and manage the display schedule.

  • Do not use this site to record a live schedule.
  • Ask the designated owner about access or publishing responsibility.
  • Use the confirmed intake route for changes or removal requests.
