Frequently asked questions

Why does this template start with a one-line summary?

Because 43% of real operations posts were flagged as too dense to scan. Frontline staff read between tasks, often on a phone. If the first line does not say what changed, most of the audience never reaches the detail.

Should I send this to the whole company?

No. Send it to the locations it applies to. Operations posts targeted at the affected site read roughly two and a half times better than company-wide broadcasts, and irrelevant sends train everyone else to ignore the channel.

What if there is no action for the reader?

Say so explicitly. "Nothing. This is for awareness." is a better ending than silence, because it stops people hunting for a task that does not exist.
