Frequently asked questions
Who can sign off — does it need a certified inspector?
OSHA 1926 requires a "competent person" who can identify hazards and has authority to correct them. The site superintendent or designated foreman typically qualifies; no separate certification is required.
How often is "daily" — every shift or once per calendar day?
OSHA 1926 requires inspection before work begins each shift. If only one crew works a Saturday, one inspection covers them; second shifts get their own.
