OKR Hub onboarding (first quarter of objectives)
Getting a company through one honest quarter of objectives and key results — few enough objectives to focus on, key results that measure outcomes rather than list tasks, a check-in rhythm that survives week three, and an explicit decision not to attach any of it to pay.
Rolled out to every employee at AutoZone (125,000), PetSmart (50,000+), A.S. Watson and Raley's (20,000) — and at larger retailers we are not permitted to name.

Frequently asked questions
How long does an OKR rollout take?
Configuration is an afternoon — the defaults are sensible and very little needs changing. The real timeline is set by the quarter boundary and by how long the leadership team takes to draft objectives they are willing to publish. Two to three weeks of drafting before a quarter opens is typical.
Should OKRs cascade to every individual?
Not in the first quarter. Company and department objectives are enough to prove the rhythm. Cascading to individuals immediately multiplies the writing work by headcount before anyone has learned to write a good key result, and it is the most common reason companies conclude that OKRs don't work for them.
Should OKR scores affect compensation or performance ratings?
No, and it is worth stating explicitly at kick-off. As soon as scoring affects pay, people set targets they are confident of hitting, and the stretch ambition that makes OKRs valuable disappears — usually within a single quarter and hard to recover afterwards.
What is the earliest sign an OKR rollout is failing?
Check-in participation in weeks two and three. Objectives get written with enthusiasm and then quietly abandoned; a team that has not checked in by week three has usually stopped. That is a cheap problem to fix at week three and an expensive one to discover at quarter end.
