Skills & Credentials onboarding (expiry tracking first)

Credentials first, skills second. The plan loads the licences and certifications whose lapse is a compliance failure, verifies every expiry date, and routes renewal alerts to a named owner — then lets the skills picture fill in over months rather than being invented in a fortnight.

Rolled out to every employee at AutoZone (125,000), PetSmart (50,000+), A.S. Watson and Raley's (20,000) — and at larger retailers we are not permitted to name.

Built for: Healthcare · Manufacturing · Construction · Field-service · Transportation

Frequently asked questions

Should we load all skills at the same time as certifications?

No. Certifications expire and their lapse is a compliance or safety failure, so they carry the urgency. Skills do not expire and nothing breaks if the picture builds gradually — and a skills matrix captured under launch pressure records guesses as facts, which is worse than having none.

How long does it take?

Two to three weeks for compliance-critical credentials. The constraint is gathering existing records with verifiable expiry dates, which almost always means chasing several spreadsheets and some paper certificates.

What does a first import usually reveal?

Credentials that have already lapsed and nobody knew. That backlog is the implementation's first real value, but it needs to be framed as a remediation exercise at kick-off — otherwise it lands as an alarming report in week one.
