Platform baseline (every customer)

The part of onboarding that is the same for every customer — who owns the rollout, how people sign in, where the org data comes from, how employees are told, and what gets reviewed afterwards. App rollouts stack onto the same six stages rather than adding their own.

Rolled out to every employee at AutoZone (125,000), PetSmart (50,000+), A.S. Watson and Raley's (20,000) — and at larger retailers we are not permitted to name.

Frequently asked questions

Is this plan used on its own?

No — it is applied first, then one plan per app in scope. Every plan uses the same six stages, so applying several produces one ordered checklist with more items per stage rather than a longer list of phases.

How fast can a customer be live?

For a single app on sensible defaults, one to three weeks. The go-live path is deliberately marked separately from follow-on work, so the plan distinguishes what stands between the customer and launch from what is better done once they are running and can see real usage.

What most often delays an implementation?

Single sign-on and org data quality, in that order. SSO depends on the customer's identity team, who are usually outside the project and working their own queue. Org data exists in an HR system but is rarely current, and stale data makes a working product look broken.

Why is branding not on the critical path?

Because logo and colour approval typically sits with a team that has no stake in the go-live date, while the change itself takes minutes. Launching on defaults and applying branding afterwards removes a common and entirely avoidable delay.
